Juliette’s Race 2020: Thank you for visiting our website!
Juliette’s Race, an annual 5K run and 2.5K walk benefiting the Down Syndrome Foundation, will be held this year on September 12, 2020 at Como Park! This race is open to everyone and will take place on the walking path at Como Lake Park in St. Paul. As in past years, we anticipate having a range of runners from the very competitive to casual joggers–all levels are welcome!
PARKING: Parking is available in either of the parking lots adjacent to the Lakeside Pavilion at Como Lake. They are located immediately south or north of the pavilion on Lexington Avenue. The official start line is just north of the pavilion, while the finish line is located south of the pavilion. There should be sufficient parking for the race between the two lots, and the race course does not interfere with the parking lots, so they can remain open during the race.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Registration will be available prior to the race, near the pavilion. Please arrive at least half an hour before the race (by 8:30 a.m.) to allow time to register and receive your race number. Donations will continue to be accepted on this website, but will also be taken in cash, check, or card at the race.
DONATIONS: We suggest a donation of $20, however, a donation is not required to participate.
A note from Juliette’s family:
We consider it a privilege to raise our sweet, hilarious, capable Juliette. She has enriched our lives and the lives of all those around her. We started this race to share Juliette’s story and to show the world and our community that there is nothing “wrong” with Juliette – or any other person with Down syndrome – and there is a whole lot we can learn from them. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Juliette, supporting the Down Syndrome Foundation and giving these amazing kids the opportunity to go to summer camp!
