Down Syndrome Camp

The Down Syndrome Camp for youth with Down syndrome will be held June 8 - 12, 2008 at Camp Knutson on Trout Lake. There are great activities and it's loads of fun! The waterfront is always a hit with swimming, fishing, boating, tubing, paddleboating and just enjoying the beach. Other activities include horseback riding, cookouts and karaoke and dance evenings.

Campers must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and a resident of Minnesota. For more information check out our Camp Info page.

We recommend this book!

Parenting on Purpose: Red Yellow Green Framework for Respectful Discipline by Dr. Ada Alden.

Wingspan Camp used the "Red Yellow Green" model from Dr. Alden's book with terrific success. Our staff was trained by Dr. Alden and they began to use the ideas she presented as soon as the campers arrived. It was an integral part of what made Wingspan such awonderful place for all of us.
