MN Special Olympics Golf League

Pheasant Acres Golf Course in Corcoran, MN  is the site of some terrific golf by our Special Olympics golfers.  A group of youth with Down syndrome will once again be practicing their tee shots, putting and chipping.  They are coached by Mike McStott and his group of enthusiastic volunteers who help Mike teach golf as a lifetime skill.  The team regularly competes in the Special Olympics golf tournaments.  Thanks go to Steve Fessler, PGA golf professional and to Pheasant Acres Golf Course for their help and support of our team.

Give back to Community.

The G in our camp motto, "Unlock the MAGIC" stands for giving back to community, so Wingspan campers were busy this summer making bird houses to give to the Camp Knutson and Crosslake community.  They gave away over twenty birdhouses that were made with much love and care.Building Birdhouses

What's New

Wounded

I am the wall that's broken in half.
Down I came like thunder bolts in the sky
with tears in my eyes, Iike rain from the clouds
that go down to the ground,
where flowers surround me.
There I stand in the dark.

There is God beside me.  When things go wrong,
how wonderful it is, Somebody special in life comes to me, I talk to in my sleep.
Love is great no matter what I do.

When darkness falls down on me and here I am alone once more, then I see the larks in the sky that came down to me.
I feed them bread crumbs and they like me because of God.  He brings them to me.
I am here for the skylrks to see.
Here I am on the street, wounded like a doe.

And God's hands come upon me and heal the wound of my suffering.  I am struggling to survive.  In the wind, I used to hear the flowers talk to me, like voices of the angels.

The people are my friends.
They have pity on me.
They took me in, into the room.
There was blue sky.

I see the angels from God standing around me.  Their love for me brought me back home where I belong.
And here I am once more,
Happy as I can be that the sun has
shone upon me like glory.
